Our stay at the Quirinale was more pleasant than we had expected or than any other reviews we had read on the internet! We had an executive suite, where we slept the 3 of us, the rooms was excellent, large, spacious, clean and bright with nice interiors, enough light, comfortable beds and bright white linnen. This must have been one of the refurbished rooms for the hotel Quirinale is quite an old hotel. Besides this room we had a make up room, spaciously enough for the 3 of us, to get ready and where we could put our cloths and all. The bathroom was very spacious, clean, gave a brand new feeling, had enough warm water and the towels together with the toiletries were changed daily. The breakfast was also good , a buffet breakfast cointaining warm food, the usual sausages, scrambled eggs and bacon, together with cereals, fruit, yoghurts and cakes. The service is pretty slow though. Leave a Comment Theme: HotelComparison: more expensive than averageMap: Hotel Quirinale

 | | | | Hotel Quirinale: Perfect for a Roman Holiday... Compare Rates NEW! | Satisfaction: | | | | |
Rome, and Hotel Quirinale, were our first taste of Italy. Upon arrival at 10:00 am our bags were locked away in a large room to the left of the front desk. When checking in we were told our rooms would not be ready until 2pm (or should I say 14?) even though our reservation clearly notified them that we would be arriving early. As we were jet lagged and exhausted we decided to settle into their impressive lounge area, with plenty of couches and chairs that were decorative as well as comfortable. It was finally time to go up to the room and take our naps. Our bags were brought up for us without any issue. The room itself was one large square with a queen sized bed, two large dressers surrounding a desk (one of which houses a safe) and then the bathroom off to the left. The two large windows opened to see a courtyard of sorts. Out of the window you could see the other three wings of the hotel with their floors. Looking up you could see nothing but the Roman sky. The breakfast was nothing short of amazing, from an American perspective. Bacon, scrambled eggs, fruit, yogurt, cereal, croisants, coffee (amazing coffee). It may not be how Italians typically eat breakfast, but it was a great way to start a day of site seeing. Stepping outside of the hotel, looking to the right you see the large water fountain near Termini. Looking to the left you see the "Wedding Cake" memorial. The street is busy with stores and all kinds of people. There's no shortage of restaurants in the area and cabs are very easy to flag down here. A block or so from the hotel sits a small fruit stand which caters to the opera crowd. This place was a Godsend as we were able to stock up on water and soda without paying the extra hotel prices. The front desk cashed American Travelers Checks for us without problem. They also contacted Viatours for us so we could be picked up at the hotel. When it was time to check out they spent a lot of time explaining to me how to get out of Rome. Everyone was extremely helpful and courteous.
