The service of the hotel was good, we got a new room after complaining that the first one we got was not clean enough. After all, an adress wich is not too expensive (comparing to Romes prices) and offers a nice bedroom. For the moment renovations are in progress.

VERY NICE STAFF!!!
Directions: Far out (metro and bus about 40 minutes, shuttle from hotel only 5 times a day to metro station)
This Ibis hotel is well outside the central city but on a good bus route which, when combined with the Metro makes this places a reasonable option.
The hotel is located in a fairly quiet area of mostly housing. There isn't much to look at out the window given its location however you are not in Rome to spend lots of time in your room!!
I found the staff efficient and never had a problem with my stay here.
Unique Quality: The hotel is fairly standard for an Ibis. The rooms are clean with good beds. The hotel has its own restaurant which I used only for breakfast (which was okay). The in room facilities included TV, hairdryer, ensuite toilet & shower and telephone.
Directions: To get here take the Metro A line to Alagnina station then the Express 20 Bus to the Ibis.
This is a new hotel (about 2000) near the University. There is a swimming pool and bar, the rooms, spotless, have every comfort . We stayed first for a few days September 2001 and returned August-September 2003. Marvellously helpful staff. Only downside is that there is a 10 minute ride to Anagnina bus & Metropolitana station, which lands you right at the end of Linea A - you are 25 minutes ride then to Barberini or Spagna in the centre, a little more to San Pietro. Day after day, the commute - sometimes twice a day - did get to be a bit of a nuisance. That said, there is a free hotel shuttle to Anagnina, or frequent buses, so get a Biglietto Integrato - one ticket for bus and underground
Unique Quality: 9/10 for everything but the location. I think a cab from central Rome would be about EU40 (that's a guess) so you end up watching the timetable for the last underground back to Anagnina (about 22:30). Great so long as your not planning too many late nights in your stay, or for a shorter visit
