This hotel lists itself at being in Magliana, but it is not. There is a train station in Magliana, but do not get off there, as that is not the stop for this hotel, and the trains only run every 30 minutes. When you do get off at the correct train stop, there is a 1/2 mile walk to the hotel, with no option but to walk, and you have to walk on the road as there are no sidewalks. This Ibis is spuposed to be the Airport Ibis, but it is milies from the airport, cost me 40 euros for a taxi as there is no other way to get there (oh, they have a shuttle that runs twice a day, so if you want to wait all day at a/p you can take it at only 28 euros. I had called the hotel proper before booking and asked if I could leave a bag overnight between my two nights I was staying there, and was told no problem, and when I asked about a fee, again, no problem. Well, when I took the bag down I was told the hotel could not take it and I was free to talk with the manager (hotel could not call) but the manager would not be in until 8 the next mornign, and my flight left at 6:30. Ibis solution was to rent me a room for the bag @ USD96. Ibis offers barebone rooms and wevices, and one expects nothing too much from them, but this was just no way to treat a customer; and they have that worthless gurantee of they will fix it or it is free....
There are no outstnding characteristics for this hotel other than it has NOTHING to reccommend it; not price, not location, not staff, not food, nothing! Oh, a unique quality is that it is almost impossible to find a telephone number to talk to anyone about a complaint; lots of reservation takers, but no customer service agents can be found!
