 | Igea Hotel: Great location/price but simple

Location is great, if you want to be near railway station and tourist buses. Quiet neighbourhood, but lot of noise came thru the walls and door (especially when new people came to the hotel). That wasn’t very big thing, but without that disturbance, it would be very quiet place to sleep. Also, rooms are old (renovated, but some jarring on the doors, old water taps, no hand shower etc.) but it was VERY clean. There was enough warm water (if you didn't mix any cold water to it). But that was ok anyway. Breakfast was poor and service guy was neurotic. He couldn't handle more than 10 people and if something went wrong, he started to throw things. He loaded all plates and everything else to one table instead of taking them back to kitchen. Otherwise, our staying was ok. We were surprised that location was very quiet and it was very easy to get everywhere from there. For example, Colosseum is just 2 km away from the hotel. Also, railway station is only 100 meters from the hotel and if you come by train, it’s very easy to find. Anyway, our taxi service couldn’t find that hotel, but he was old man and we got special city tour when he tried to find our hotel. :) So, take a map with you anyway. Generally, I can recommend this hotel. It was very clean, quiet and in good location. They don’t have any special services, but it doesn’t bother if you are adults travelling together. But, DON’T take children to that hotel, it will be a catastrophe. I hope, breakfast will become better and they will change that waiter asap. Then it’s much more better and worth of costs.
