For one, 40 euros, traveling frugally, should work. The wonderful thing I found out about Rome, is that the city itself is just one BIG open air museum. Invest in a guide book that suits you, hit the streets and you'll be set! When we ate at restaurants, we went only a few blocks off the main drag and let the proprietor serve us what he wished. We would just say, "We will take what you are serving today." They very much enjoyed our trust in their selection and our meals were superb, always ending in a complimentary digestive liquor, often with the proprietor having a lil sit down and chat with us. Price--reasonable! Have a great time, Rome is city you will remember always!

Not exactly Off The Beaten Path, but this place introduce to me by Sinoda, a VT member and a real friend that moved here recently. It is great part of Rome to explorer, especially for food and drinks ;-)

In Campo di Fiori, it's just a great atmosphere for hanging out and having a few drinks with friends. The Drunken Ship and Sloppy Sam's are awesome pubs, but you can also hang out outside. The only bad thing is the Italian men who sell roses. They tend to get a little annoying about the 10th or 11th time they come and try to sell you roses. Otherwise, it's an awesome time. We went here our first night in Rome with a bunch of people from the hostel, and totally destressed after a stressful day. come as you are.

The best buy for your Euro, and the pizza could feed a family. Pizzeria da Baffetto is a Roman favorite. You will have to wait in line if you arrive late, but the atmosphere, pizza, and wine are worth it. Baffetto's only bad point is that the owners close two weeks in August for holiday.

The FOUNTAIN TREVI is so beautiful, all about Roma. This city have a SOUL and i feel like a angel. One day I would like to live in Roma, Italy. Well, for New year i was been in Roma and 31.12.2008. i meet one boy in FOUNTAIN TREVI at 10 hour PM. I watch him and he watch me. But, we didn´t talking, photograph... nothing, just shy watching. Well today i´m sad because i didn´t say something to him. But i believe in destiny and i can´t stop thinking about him. And I have one request for everyone, please help me to find him. I don´t know nothing about him, is he from Italy or... I just know that he have a so beautiful eyes, black hair and that he was been in FOUNTAIN TREVI 31.12.2008. at 10 hours PM.
Please say something about this yours friends and maybe somebody know something about this. Maybe he is from Italy. I will grateful if we help me, just try. I know, it´s not easy because we don´t know nothing about this boy but maybe my wish come true. Well i have long curly hair, blond hair, blue eyes... I will attach my pic.
