You can check the availability of Hostel Des Artists, they are about 7 min walk from Termini Station and 2 min walk to Castro Pretorio Metro B station.

Hi. I'm going to be doing one night in Rome on our way to the Amalfi coast and I'll probably be staying at a hostel called Pop Inn Hostel. Apparently it's across the road from the station. You can check it out online.

Travel Tips for Rome

by barcodex

Look everywhere. Don't hesitate to look staring, because it's forgiven to tourists, and otherwise you will not notice everything that worth it (well, you will not be able to do it anyway). Rome is clearly 'point and click' city. It means you can point your camera ANYWHERE and click. As a result, you will have a nice picture. To illustrate that, I put a picture, that I made from the window of a bus on a move

Cappuccin Crypt is below the church Santa Maria della Immaculata Concezione on Via Veneto, just off Piazza Barberini. Bones of over 4,000 monks who died between 1528 and 1870 are artistically or grotesquely arranged, depending on your taste. The bones are displayed in five rooms, linked by a 60-meter long tunnel. This is a very, very unusual scene. A postcard on your way out is a must.

Pass for metro/bus/tram

by ATLC

For € 16 you can buy a public transportation pass, valid for 7 days, from the first validation. We made excellent use of it, the metro is easy (essentially just two lines). The busses were a bit more difficult but the easy part was that the end station (Roma Termini) was only 100 metres from our hotel.

More information on the link below (in English). You have to scroll down to where you see 'CIS Weekly Ticket).
The pass itself is called CIS (Carta Integrata Settimanale).

ITALIAN GELATO

by OrlandoBR

What they always told you is true, Italian Ice Cream is really good! In Rome, look for GIOLITTI'S, the most traditional gelateria, but also, I found *great* ice cream at the chic McDonald's near Piazza di Spagna, right by the entrance where they sell desserts. It's an ice cream called NORGE and it's the best I had in Italy.

My favorite edifice

by skywalkerbeth

Isn't it beautiful? One building as metaphor for the power and glory of Rome. Each of "my cities" has one most-special place for me which I never tire of visiting, day or night. London - Big Ben. Paris - Eiffel Tower. Venice - the Salute. u.s.w. for Rome, it's the Colosseum. I can't get enough. I know many bloody and horrible things happened there, but, now it just seems like a benevolent reminder of the past, hulking over the city.
