A house at the center of the Rome

If you are looking for a place clean, friendly and safety, the hotel mayfair residence is best for you. We stayed there 2 nights last week. The staff was so kind, hotel was so clean.. Also we forgot the check out time, they didn't make any problem.

Do Leonardo Express train and Rome Metro/buses use the same tickets?

by susieqqqq

Specifically, assuming that we ride the Leonardo Express train from Fumicino airport to Termini in Rome, can we use the Leonardo Express ticket to ride the Metro or buses to get closer to our Hotel or do we have to buy a Metro/bus tickdet?

We are staying at Mayfair Residence at corner of Via Sicilia and Via Puglia. What is the best way to get there from Termini?

You need to buy a ticket and or a pass for the bus and metro system for use in the city. You can buy a single ride good for 75 minutes, daily pass, or extended pass.
The train going to the airport requires a separate fare not included in these passes.
Enjoy!!

The train to and from the airport is a seperate ticket (it seems to be in most cities.)

Once you are at Termini, it is a 1 to 1.5 kilometer ride to the Mayfair Residence Apartments. I personally would walk out the the piazza in front of the train station, look for the taxi queue, and take a taxi over there, since I assume that you'll have luggage. Ignore all the riffraff in the station itself offering you rides; go out to the official taxi queue (the cars will look like taxis, have the Taxi sign on top, have the city of Rome medallion on the doors, and have meters). I believe that there may be taxi queues out the two side doors as well.

Taking the Metro would only get you halfway there, and it's not worth the bother. There may be a bus, but I haven't bothered looking, because how expensive is a 1.5 kilometer cab ride? (answer: not expensive)...
