 | Mediterraneo Hotel Rome: Excellent hotel with outstanding service

A friend of mine and myself visited Rome in the summer of 2002. The facilities of the Mediterraneo include high standard of everything (rooms, lobby, etc.). The service was always as it should be. Very polite and helpful employees. They would assist you in any way you'd need.
The hotel has an outstanding characteristic (two actually). First, the hotel has a bar and sitting groups on the roof where you can see all of Rome from above. Though it's in the centre of the city, this bar is the highest point in Rome! Second, the bar isn't unattended. We, I mean ALL tourists that stay at this hotel, love Italo, the barkeeper. He's a very friendly person that's got a lot of knowledge about Rome. He did the difference with his personal dedication to his job and guests, and that's the reason to why we, for the first time in our life, wrote a letter of appreciation that was handed over to the management. Theme: HotelComparison: more expensive than averageDirections: Reached on foot from the railway station Termini, or through Rome's transit system. Within walking distance of Pantheon, the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, the Coliseum, the Fountain of Trevi, the Roman Forums, the Opera House, National Museum of RomeWebsite: http://mediterraneo.hotelinroma.com/main_en.htm?source=
