Montreal Hotel

When United Airlines screwed up our flight, we lost our reservations and a day in Assisi. When we finally arrived in Rome a day late, we had no place to stay. We went to the Hotel Reservation desk at the airport and were fortunate to find three rooms at the Hotel Montreal. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the in suite bathroom facilities were modern and very clean. The friendliness of the staff and the security at the hotel were fantastic. Their English was quite good, far better than my Italian. There was even a small patio filled with green plants and flowers where one could take coffee or wine from the bar and just sit and relax for a while. Outside the hotel, there is nearby shopping, an open-air market, and the Cathedral Santa Maria Maggiore, a not-to-be-missed tourist attraction. It is one of the most beautiful churches in Rome. Nearby restaurants and shops make this small, friendly, comfortable hotel an ideal choice for your stay.
