Per la buona vita!

Ciao, Roma, ciao Navona Gallery Suites. Both are bella and at the Navona Gallery Suites you feel the full vibe of Rome. Only a short walk to Piazza Navona, and Campo De' Fiori. The owner, Giampiero Carnovale, makes you feel like famiglia. He truly is a delight to have met. He works out of his quaint Antiques Store, two doors down. Oh, yes, his brother-in-law, Dennis Winter, D.D.S. (Dennis the Dentist) from Denver, Colorado, now lives in Roma and practices Dentistry in his and his wife's (Loredana Carnovale, M.D., D.D.S.) office next to the large courtyard at Navona Suites. Dennis was a great help in translations and in general knowledge of the area. Again, you felt like famiglia.

The suite, my wife and I enjoyed, is called the Bernini Suite, the larger and more romantic of the two suites sharing the same kitchen. Extra clean, old world comfort with modern amenities, and a kitchen, complete with a stocked refrigerator and a deluxe, easy to use, espresso/cappuccino machine. There are two suites that share the same kitchen, so a family of four would have complete privacy in the entire flat. My wife and I only saw the other suites occupants twice during our stay, so the kitchen was like our own. We will return and highly recommend this most delightful accommodation. The Navona Gallery Suites has a new suite called the Michelangelo Suite with two rooms. You won't be disappointed staying at the Navona Gallery Suites while in Roma.

Unique Quality: Location, location, location. Quiet courtyard entry, next door to Mimi e Coco's, a bar/restaurant and only a one minute walk to the Piazza Navona. In Piazza Pasquino, only a few feet away are four or five restaurants to enjoy with lower prices than at the restaurants in Piazza Navona.

Jumping on the Navona Suites Bandwagon

by TripAdvisor Member The Travelers

After extensive Internet research and gazing until we were bleary-eyed at Trip Advisor reviews, we chose the Navona Suites for our 3 day stay in Rome. Proof, once again, that upfront planning does pay off. The Navona Suites offered everything we were looking for in our Rome adventure. Great location, excellent service, and a spacious, interesting, authentic, well decorated room in a quiet setting steps from the bustling street life and major Rome attractions. Good restaurants within a few steps and a great place to rest the aching feet after all day tours of Vatican City, the Panthenon, the Spanish Steps, etc. etc. etc. Many of the major sights were within walking distance and we even walked to those that probably weren't.

As stated in other reviews, the Bernini suite was clean and spacious. We found the comfortable bed, stocked kitchen and air conditioning provided lifesaving relief to the over achieving tourist.

Anna and Giampiero even arranged a 4 am taxi pick up to get us to the airport for our early flight.

If all roads lead to Rome, those travling them should book a stay at the Navona Suites!

Loved Navona suites

by TripAdvisor Member chebourashka

We stayed at the smaller of the 2 suites Borromini (2 adults and a baby), but had a chance to see the biggest suite. The suite is the size of a hotel room with a bathroom equipped with a shower. The shower is good size.

The two suites are located on the first floor (1 flight of steps) in an ancient building 100m off Piazza Navona. The suites are part of an apartment building and are very quiet, as the windows and the small balcony are facing the small internal garden.

The Boromini suite has access to the very small balcony with flowers, where we ate our breakfast. The suite is equipped with a TV and individually adjustable AC.

There is a kitchen shared by the 2 suites with a table when we could also eat and cook some of the meals. The kitchen is very small, but well equipped and the refrigerator is full of food for the breakfast.

The suites are very clean and have daily cleaning. Baby cot or child bed is provided on request. The Borromini suite was just big enough for 3 of us for a few days. If you stay longuer and/or have many bags, then consider staying in the bigger suite.

Giampiero and his family are working in the same building and are very kind people. Their welcome was very warm and Giampierro even bought food and drinks for the baby in addition of what is already there including beer and sparkling wine; we were very touched by this. His brother-in-law (who is originally from the US) gave us some delicious pastries in the morning. Giampiero himself came with us to show stores and pharmacy, banks and restaurants in the area around. He even presented us to the restaurant owners as I was looking for a place making roasted chicken to take for the baby, so they could make it and deliver to our room if needed.

We had a great stay there and would return any time.

The suites are perfectly located for visiting Rome on foot. They are very close to Campo dei Fiori and the market and close to supermarkets, stores, pharmacies, banks, a post office, numerous restaurants and deli shops. The streets arround are very safe and nice to walk even at night.

INTIMATE FOR VT FRIENDS

by travelgourmet about CICCIA BOMBA

A small ristorante-pizzeria by Roman standards, but the waitstaff let you have the table till closing, if you want. The food is average for Rome, because the culinary skills of the top chefs in Rome make most of the smaller restaurants food seem common, but a good meal is still to be had here.

It is the chance meeting or planned meeting of friends that warms the interior of Ciccia Bomba and a good meeting place for those planning to visit Piazza Navona but don't want to pay the high prices for a meal. My wife and I met fellow VTers Ciambella, a dynamite duo of Nathalie and Charles, for a little get together of merryment and cheer. Sorry, but to be honest, after the first glass of wine at the restaurant, after wine at my B & B with fellow Vters Ciambella, I can't recall what I dined on. I have the receipt that says we all ate something, but I don't recall what dishes I ordered. lol. As for satisfied, must have been, because we were all laughing and enjoying each others company. That made it a great experience for both my wife and me. Thanks Nathalie and Charles, and "Tony" too,as well as Dennis the Dentist, the brother-in-law of Giampiero who owns the B&B Navona Gallery Suites, where my wife Sue and I stayed while in Rome.

Fantastic Accomodation, P & S Stanway, UK

by TripAdvisor Member SandyStan

We chanced on this guest house whilst browsing the internet for accomodation for a long weekend. Having stayed in Rome before we knew we wanted to be in a central location but somewhere not too noisy.
The Navona Suites were perfect, the accomodation was beautifully furnished in traditional style overlooking a small courtyard. The shared kitchen was generously stocked and included in the price.
Maid service is also included and the accomodation itself, bedlinen and towels were spotless.
Anna and Giampiero could not have been more helpful and were more than happy to go 'the extra mile' to make our stay as pleasant as possible.
We loved the location and, surprisingly for somewhere so central, found it very quiet.
We had a wonderful weekend and would not hesitate to recommend the Navona Suites to anyone visiting Rome.

Loved it! We'll be back!

by TripAdvisor Member lincoln2

Our four-night stay in the Borromini suite was excellent. I loved the room -- beautiful furniture. It even had a very nice bathroom. We were delighted to hear the food provided for us in the kitchen was included. What a treat! It got us started in the mornings. Giampiero was warm and gracious. He found out it was our anniversary, and one night we found a bottle of prosecco in our room. Anna, the lady who greeted us, even provided us with her mobile number. She was very helpful when we called about our ride to the airport on our last night. Navona Suites is an excellent place to stay in the best part of the city. I couldn't imagine staying in a bland hotel room after staying here. It was like we had our own apartment in Rome! We'll be back.

Best Family Hotel in Rome

by TripAdvisor Member DorothyMD

My family of 5 stayed at Navona Suites in Rome last month after discovering the unaimously glowing reviews on TripAdvisor. I researched ALL of the hotels in the Piazza Navona/Pantheon area and this was truly the most wonderful choice for a family with young children, or ANYONE. These are apartments with ammenities that surpass those of a 5 star hotel. We rented the Bernini/Borromini combined suite which is large, quiet, airconditioned and fully provisioned - milk, meat, bread, cheese, cookies, fruit, BEER, etc. All for half the price of a 3 star hotel for a group this size. The building even has a lovely woman from Philadelphia who acts as a sort of concierge for English speaking guests.

The only thing missing in this suite was a balcony - but a great one can be found at their new Raphael suite upstairs. But we were content to pay less for the more spacious suite we had. Perfect location that fills with locals in the evening. Best choice in Rome.

great location, nice room, good value -- will return!

by TripAdvisor Member giulietta429

We spent 5 nights in the Bernini suite and enjoyed our stay very much. We will definitely return.
The property is very centrally located, just minutes from Piazza Navona, and in the midst of many great cafes and restaurants (of which we tried plenty). Despite the property's proximity to restaurants and bars, it was very quiet at night. The bed was comfortable. It was nice to have a safe (built into one of the walls) to store our valuables while we explored Rome.
We really enjoyed having access to a kitchen, with great selection of breakfast foods and snacks (various cookies, milk, juices, yogurts, cheeses, coldcuts, even some prosecco). The room was very spacious, and looked exactly as pictured on Navona Suites' website.
The owners told us that they will be adding several more suites within the next year. That's good to know, because we will certainly come back. A great value right in the center of Rome.

One of Italy's best

by TripAdvisor Member john555

We stayed in the Bernini suite for three nights with our two children aged 7 and 5. The room is the larger of the two available and was more than ample and spacious for our needs. The kitchen down the hall was excellent and always well stocked with an assortment of foods for breakfast and with it's own coffee machine for that late afternoon pick-me-up.

The suites are in a fantastic location - a stone's throw from Piazza Navona, a 10 minute walk to the Vatican and 20 minutes to the Forum. There are plenty of good restaurants and bars within a short walk.

The owner (Giampero) and his family were very helpful and went out their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. We loved our stay and hope to return again shortly. We highly recommend this accommodation.

Romance and history

by TripAdvisor Member JoneeHughes

Staying in this place is like staying in a best friend’s luxury apartment while they are away on holiday. We stayed in the Bernini suite which was vast and had all mod-cons (rare in Italy!) including espresso and filter coffee makers, chilled water dispensers and a fridge stocked with good food (free to residents). The rooms are clean and the Bernini Suite huge. The whole place is tastefully decorated by the owners who own an antique shop on the same street. But WHAT AN AMAZING LOCATION. 1 minute from Piazza Navona and a few minutes from many of Rome’s major sites in and around the ‘centro strorico’ (historic centre). A great place for a romantic break.

NAVONA SUITES

by charlottemf

Hello,
Hope anyone can help, we're going too Rome next week, and were wondering if anyone knows if there is a safe to use at the navona suites!
Also what are the best restarants around the Piazza Navona?
Thanks Charlotte

My favourite restaurant in Rome is; Tosca. It should be not far from Piazza Navona. On my (poor) page about Rome there is the right address and direction.

Ciao!
