The hotel is a good one and good price too. I stayed with my husband 4 nights in July 2007.. Excelent location. 5 minutes walk to trevi fountain, 20 minutes to spanish steps and 10 minutes to colloseum. You can enjoy the 20 minutes walk to the live area of trastevere for the night, where unlike most of Rome, is live till after midnight. We used the bus a couple of times and the metro only once. Our room was of a good size and a very nice bathroom with a shower. The breakfast was ok too. Our room faced the main street but it wasn't so noisy. The only problem was the AC; we changed our room but it was still not ice-cold, but it worked ok.
Unique Quality: Great location.
First stayed here in 2001, in single room. A fair sized room, but at the front of the hotel, very noisy. minute window.
Stayed there in 2006, requested a rear room. The room No. 96. I
would recommend it as it was on the top floor, at the rear, and it had a small balcony which could take two folding chairs. Superb partial view of the Victor Emmanuel Monument. Room was comfortable. Bathroom (Without bath) was good.
Buffet breakfast was plentiful, with cereals, fruit, croissants, cheeses, bread rolls, jam, marmalade, tea, and coffee.
An absolutely superb roof terrace with views of Colosseum, Palatine Hill, Janiculum, St. Peters,
and pincio gardens. The ideal place to enjoy a candlelight evening Gin and Tonic to round off the day.
I have booked the same room for this year, 2007 in August.
It is an ideal starting off point with e.g. Trevi Fountain only 10mins walk, Coloseum, 10mins walk.Victor Emmanual Monument 5 min walk.
Unique Quality: Superb Roof Terrace. Great views, Ideal Location, Helpful Staff.
Just came back from a 4 day stay in this hotel in Rome. It's a really good centered hotel in walking distance of all the main sightseeing places in Rome. You could walk up to the trevi fountains, spanish steps, pantheon, colosseum, piazza navona, piazza venezia.
The rooms were good and large for a city standard. The bathroom was good size too. Breakfast was good, lots of cheese, yoghurts, fruit, sandwiches, croissants, eggs,... It's not a huge breakfast as you would get if you go on a summer holiday to an all inclusive but then you are in a city and things in hotels there are different then anywhere else.
The view from the roof terrace is beautifull, great pictures to take up there.
I thought it was a good hotel, if you visit it try to get a room on the backside of the hotel as the street in front of it is really busy, day and night!
Unique Quality: Great view from roof terrace!
Directions: Near Piazza Venezia, right in the middle of the centre of Rome, everything in walking distance
Excellent location between Fontana di Trevi and Piazza Venezia. The staff are multilingual which is a big plus. Also, there is a nice rooftop terrace from which you can view great sunsets, paint, read a book, or just sit and chat. Rooms are small but well maintained. The bathroom was huge, marble, and larger than the living area. TV's had access to CNN World and BBC.
Unique Quality: Rooftop terrace was amazing! See the photo!
Directions: between Fontana di Trevi and Piazza Venezia.
Anyone have any information on these two hotels? Which is in a better location for sightseeing, shopping, restaurants and bars?
