This is a great hostel – the first hostel I’d ever stayed. While the rooms are nothing to rave about, and the fact that there are only 3 bathrooms for everybody is a little unfortunate, you learn to live with it.
The location is so fantastic the rest pales into insignificance. Close to the Metro, it’s in the very atmospheric Ottaviano area, where locals hang out, and there are lots of little bakeries, gelaterias, pizzerias. Plus, it’s a block away from the Vatican and another to St Peters, which is fantastic. In the evening, grab a gelato and sit by St Peters – doesn’t get much better than that.
