I am planning to come to Rome in December with my wife and daughter, and have found a great deal on a 'mystery hotel' in Via Carlo Fea. As far as I can work out from searches and Google Maps, there is only ONE hotel on this street, which is Prime Hotel Principe Torlonia.
Could you help me to find out if this the only hotel there, as if it is, we'll definitely be keen to stay there - and if not - what is the other 'mystery hotel'?
Best regards from Scotland, and thank you in advance, David
Via Carlo Fea is a short street. One side of it is entirely occupied by a building and gardens belonging to the university, the Hotel Principe Torlonia is on the other side. I don't think there are any other hotels. The yellow pages don't show any other hotels in the same street.
This definitely may not apply in this case, but most Italian cities share street names. Every city has a Via Cavour, Via Garibaldi, Via Torino, Via Milano, etc... You may want to double-check that it is definitely the Via Carlo Fea (not such a common street name) in Rome proper, rather than in one of the outlying communities. Again, I doubt this is an issue with this particular booking, but it could be in the future if you're looking into hotels on a street with a common name. Just a thought...
