Loved the Hotel Quirinale.
My Daughter had her wedding reception at the Hotel Quirinale, in May of this year, I can say without any Hesitation, the staff were excellent.
On entering the Hotel on the day of the Wedding, all congratulatory, e-mails were handed to the Usher at Reception.
We were then shown to their beautiful Garden Restaurant, where everything was set up for the meal.
The food was excellent, the staff were attentive without being obtrusive, I could go into more detail but it would take to long to type.
I would like to add that my Daughters arrangements for her Wedding Reception were mainly done by e-mail !

Hot Budget Accommodation Tip
A hot tip for Rome travellers - even Rick Steves recommends. Not many people know, but there are quite a few convents in Rome that make accommodations available to tourists.
These accommodations are run like a business - not a "convent."
Moreover, the nuns really don't care if you are Catholic or not - the curfews at many are now Midnight. They are the most inexpensive, and pristine facilities you will find anywhere in Rome or close to the Vatican.
The Italian government has made it easier for convents and monasteries to house travelers. Low-cost mortgages and home-improvement loans are available to religious institutions that offer lodging, said Massimo Serafini. Serafini is director of Italy's Center for Religious and Cultural Tourism, an agency that helps convents and monasteries throughout Italy to get into the tourist business.

They are recommended by the Vatican Tourist Information Bureau. These accommodations are not for the lovers of the night life as most have curfews ranging up to Midnight (1 listed here has no curfew) - they are perfectly suited for the tourist traveller, student, budget-minded folks - far exceed in value what is offered in hostels, B&B's, or inexpensive hotels.
Solid comfort in Rome
We stayed 5 nights at the Quirinale in May 2005, in a Superior room. Luckily we had a terrace on the top floor overlookign the garden (I have no idea if all the Superior rooms have terraces) but it certainly made the trip.
All hotels in Rome are expensive, and this one is no exception, certainly above average.
You have to get used to the surly staff and sometimes unreliably replenished breakfast spread but if you can get a room like we had (540) then it's well worth it for the terrace alone.
I have just had my wedding reception in the Quirinale and I can say that it was perfect. Elena the events co-ordinator was fantastic, helping to organise everthing from the Reception to the Transport,Hairdresser and Band. The meal was beautiful and the service was excellent. Thank you to the staff for a fantastic day!
I did all the booking by email and it was perfect!
We've just spent three nights at this hotel, which was booked for us by our local office, and warmly recommend it. Conveniently located at the top of Via Nazionale, near the Termoni railway station, it is comfortable, even rather grand, with a private entrance to the adjoining opera house. Tastefully decorated rooms, good buffet breakfast. Ask for a room overlooking the attractive garden.
Has anyone ever been at the Hotel Quirinale?
Re: HOTEL QUIRINALE
Hotel Quirinale use to be a great four star Hotel in Rome, located on Via Nazionale that goes from Piazza della Repubblica(close to Termini Station) to Piazza Venezia(one of the major square in Rome, only 10 minutes walk from the Colosseum).
In the past it was possible to access the Opera House directly from the Hotel Quirinale, but now the passage is not in use any more and the Hotel itself is quite tired dispete the nice pictures on its web site.I saw a standard double room 2 years ago and I was not impressed at all but they might have some rooms that have been refurbished.I would not pay more then 150 euro per night in anycase.Check with them or let me know exact dates and budget and I will be happy to advice.Ciao!! Antonio
Re: Re: HOTEL QUIRINALE
I think we have a good deal... we are paying 180 Euros per night for a triple room... what do you think about this price? I was told it is a good deal.. ie.. around 60 euros each ..
I love luxourious hotels.. but to be honest.. I'm mostly looking for comfort and cleanliness this time.. its only 3 nights and definetely won't be spending so much time in the hotel.. although a hotel as I always say can make or break your holiday..
thanks for your reply and would like to know your view about the price that we are paying..
Re: HOTEL QUIRINALE
Hotel Quirinale is a very good hotel and you have a reasonable price.I will be in Rome from 12-15 of February,if you find any club that sounds good pls e-mail me.Hope no hard feelings from you because I had a dilema between Malta and Rome and I chose Rome. :)
Malta in the near future
Bye from Greece
Re: HOTEL QUIRINALE
We stayed in the Quirinale last February, and really enjoyed it. The double rooms were not spacious, but good, and the decor of the whole place is Edwardian (in English terms, though this is Italy). The lounges and the bar and the attitude of the staff gave the place the feel of the early 1900's.
We especially liked the fact that the check-in staff had a letter waiting for us on arrival (with rugby tickets) - "A letter for you, Mr Boler", made me feel like James Bond.
Re: Re: HOTEL QUIRINALE
Thanks for all of your replies.. hope my stay will be a pleasant one ;)
