LOTS OF CATS at Largo di torro Argentina
by Turska
Visit the place where emparors once ruled, and cats now regin.Dozens of cats live where use to be temples of Ceasar! We walked by every day,and allways I had to check how many cats are outside right then.Once we even went inside, and bought something to my mother in law,how is a"cat-person"and collects things with black cat pictures on.We found those there of course. And it was nice to buy something here, when money oes to medicines and food of the cats, and people who take care of them.Amazingly the cats seem to stay at area, and not go outside, even if they could go easily. They say, that you shouldn´t touch a cat without asking the staff-some of them are not as friendly than others.
There is also tours around the ruins,if you are interested.
Cab drivers take advantage
by MaxLove
Cab drivers might take advantage of a tourist who doesn't know their way around. We got into a cab and the driver started heading in the opposite direction of our destination. We immediately reminded him where we wanted to go and pointed back in that direction and he turned around. I'm sure at that hour he wasn't too busy and thought he could make a couple extra bucks off of us. Needless to say he didn't get a tip.
Always check to see where the meter is and that it is running when you get into a cab.

St. Peters in the morning
by Peccavi
Everybody want to see the St. Peters while in Rome. And you really MUST see this! But it is a big difference in seeing the St.Perets and "feeling" the St. Peters. Go there before 8 AM (it opens at 7 AM), enter the bassilica while the morning sun is lightening up the altar, and you will feel it. If you don`t get the feeling then, wait there until a morning mass starts (between 8AM and 9AM), and you will. At this time you are almost alone in the bassilica. You can move around as you want and there are no guards telling you to move on, or to go in a spesific direction. One hour later the whole Church seems transformed into a big over crowded museum. The mystic feeling of the place is blown away by huge crowds og ppl., guides with sticks in the air trying to get their groups attention, trucks moving about on the floor moving materials around for some preperations. If you feel you havent seen enough in the 1-2 hours you have in the bassilica almost alone, its better to come back early the next day for the rest.
