You will not be able to see Capri, Pompeii, Naples and Vesuvius in one day. Two days would not be easy, but if you do this then I suggest you stay at Naples overnight (visit Pompeii on the first day, visit Capri the next morning).
To get to Naples from Rome take the train. Timetables and fares here:
From Naples Garibaldi you can take the private Circumvesuviana train to Pompeii (about 30 minutes).
If you want to go to Capri, then you either get the ferry from Naples Marina Grande or get the Circumvesuviana train to Sorrento (about an hour from Naples), and get the ferry or hydrofoil from there.
Sorrento hydrofoil/ferry timetables here:
The Via dei Serpenti is in the Monti district, an ancient area, and a good one to stay in...a short walk down to the Colosseum, Piazza Venezia, etc. The Cavour metro stop is also only a couple of blocks away. Good gelato can be found at a shoppe on Via dei Serpenti, but I forget the name. Two wonderful restaurants are in the area, too, both on Via Panisperna..."da Robertino" and "La Carbonara." Everyone from everywhere goes to Rome and I have heard Japanese, Chinese and Hebrew, among others, being spoken by guides, so you should check with the Italian Tourist Office for information on finding a Russian-speaking one.
Also, you can take the train to Napoli very easily...many departures from the stazione centrale each day...takes about two hours. From Napoli, you take the 'Circumvesuviana' train to Pompeii...a short trip. Signage in the stazione will clearly guide you to the correct platform. And hydrofoils to Capri leave from Molo Beverello or Mergellina throughout the day as well. Enjoy!
