Rome great value
We were in Rome for 4 extra nights after a cruise and heartily recommend the Residenza Madri Pie which is a former convent about 5 minutes walk from the Vatican. Very reasonable accommodations (e123 per night for 2 persons) very clean, quiet, TV in common room only, elevator to upper floors. Italian style breakfast included which is served by the sisters. We were able to bring our take out dinner into the common area to eat. (No food is allowed in the rooms) Very clean, 3 twin beds, tile floors. Restaurants in the area are very reasonable.
Unique Quality: This is not a hotel but a reasonably priced place to stay while in Rome.
