My stay at Navona First was very pleasant. The staff was quite helpful when I needed directions, to make a phone call or to send a quick E-mail. The room was certainly large enough for me & had a private bathroom, hair dryer, mini refrigerator, flat screen T.V. & air conditioning. Breakfast at a cafe around the corner was included in the rate.
Unique Quality: Navona First is located approximately two minutes walk from Campo de Fiori. It is also very near to Piazza Navona. Noise might be a factor for some, as the market stalls set up quite early in the morning. Though the produce market ends in the afternoon, Campo de Fiori is notorious for bars (many popular with young Americans) in the evening. These bars are open till approximately 3:00 a.m. on a daily basis. I, however, enjoyed the sounds of Roman life outside my window!

I am asking for a good tip re budget hotels/guesthouse in central Rome from VT members expierence. Any tip will be much appreciated.
Also i would like to know how much it cost a return ticket by train from Rome
to Florence & from Rome to Naples.
Thank you in advance
For trains: www.trenitalia.it
The URL that Santi provided is the official website for the Italian national railways, so this is the best site to use (look for English, it has pretty good English support if you don't read Italian).
Note that there are many different types of trains that the FS (national railways) runs along this line, from very slow with many stops to very fast with no stops. The price varies a LOT depending on the type of train.
So you have to look for yourself and decide when you want to leave, how much time you have, how much money you have, and so on, because there is no single "right" answer. If it helps, look at my Italy page (both the main page and under Transportation Tips) where I describe the different types of trains and the variation in fares and reservation requirements (faster trains almost always require reservations).
My guest often use Residenza Navona First as they have all the common amenities, excellent service, English speaking staff, great location, and cost very little. Definitely a spot worth trying. From Rome to Florence I think is less than E50, and same with Napoli, but I can't quite remember. For accurate quotes you may want to check the ferrovia (or maybe ferrovie...i'm a bit tired and can't remember which)dello stato website.
thanks to all
