dont stay here

Terrible (1.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on October 6, 2010

This hotel i would not recommend. I had my phone stolen out out of my locked room. The concierge would not help and blamed me. He trusted his staff and said that I must have lost it or my traveling partner had it. He would not even provide me with help to call my phone company. To top it all off the water was not hot, taking cold showers is not enjoyable. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. If you do lock up all your stuff because the staff are theives. Also there are much nicer hotels closer to the center of rome.

Unique Quality: unique qualities include cold water and theives on the staff

Directions: in the middle of no where.

The hotel is really nice and clean, not much around the place as it is just outside the city of rome but if you get a takeaway from one of the local places they love foreign people and try and have a conversation with you and give you free bits of food to try so that you will come back. Its a nightmare finding the subway so do what we did and jump on the bus and when you see it puling up just ask and jump off.

I would reccomend this hotel as it was a good base camp to jump on and off

The Roma Park Hotel (****)

Great (4.0 of 5.0 stars)
by written on June 5, 2004

The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was fresh and good. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the metro which makes it convinient for travelling into the city. It is in a quiet neighbourhood.

The keys are a little tricky. You have to press a button and wave the plastic card in front of the door. Once in the room, you have to place the card in a slot on the wall to activate the electricity. And odd system, but effective.

Unique Quality: A nice feature of the Roma Park was that my room had a small kitchenet. I was able to keep some fresh fruit and cold water in the refrigerator. Althought I had no use for the stove, the extra sink proved useful when the bathroom was occupied.
