One can see ROME as one...
by eden_teuling
One can see ROME as one enormously big treasure trove .There are so many treasures that it is impossible to make a choice! This is one of the many fountains, it is the FONTANA DEL NETTUNO A PIAZZA NAVONA.
An observant reader can see the pigeon on Neptune's head!
Santa Maria in Aracoeli
by Maria81
Where?
On the very top of the Capitoline Hill, in (predictably) Piazza Santa Maria in Aracoeli
What?
According to the legend, Augustus was told of the birtjh of Christ by a Sybil, and the church was built on the very spot where she made the prophecy.
You can go in via either the steps on the square or using the Aracoeli staircase, which is a much more spectacular option
'Live' Private Entertainment
by Krystynn about At A Private Castle In Castelli Romani
The financial institution I'm now with staged a lavish private entertainment at a rented private castle (Castle of Bracciano) somewhere in Castelli Romani, about 40KM away from Rome.
"Castelli Romani" is famed for its production of wine and local cuisine. This area is Rome's answer to the Loire Valley of France (I guess).

The best coffee in Rome!
by melissa_bel about Caffé San' Eustachio
On the small and cute piazza San' Eustachio, you will find this coffee house. Now, I haven't found a single bar serving bad coffee anywhere in Italy but Caffé San'Eustachio is the very best in Rome. And you can buy the beans. It's a tiny bar but very popular. The coffe is served black and the barista serves it with the exact amount of sugar required for their coffee. That's called perfection. I remember seeing one rolling his eye when the tourist in front of me requested milk and more sugar. Better order something else if you think you can't handle it. So, it's a stop for purists and real coffee lovers! I know I only grind my beans for great occasions. Straight up caffé served by the waiters.
One of the most impressive buildings in the world
by VDElvis
This is a must if you visit Rome. It's only something like 10 Euros to get inside, and maybe 10 more for a tour. Note that if you take a tour, you may be able to skip the main line to get in and go right up front to the tour line. Tours are available in a number of languages. Even if you don't want the tour, it may be worth the money to skip the line.
I found the tour very helpful. You learn a lot about the history of the Colosseum, and gain a better understanding of just how impressive it is.
