thanks a lot

You can try,
Hotel Pensione ERDARELLI e-mail: erdarelli@italyhotel.com
www.venere.com is a reliable site used by many VT-ers. It lists hotels/b&bs/apartments etc and has honest guest reviews.
Also, look at www.hostelworld.com and www.hostelbookers.com
Cheaper accommodation tedns to be outside the centre of Rome, so remember to factor in your daily transport costs. A three-day ticket for all transport costs around 11 euro, so is well worth buying.
We have found 54e per night for doubbleroom priced hotel from Venere. And they are private rooms.I´ve been using venere 6 years, many places,I highly recommend!
www.venere.com sounds good. I am also looking for budget accomodation in early September...
I stayed at Lazzari Hotel at EUR70 a night. You might find it cheaper in October. Good luck!
Thanks everybody for your useful information!
we just came back from Rome, and i´s say, that I wouldn´t stay long time at northern side of Termini.we stayed there one night, and it was quite boring area, allmost no places to go eat at night(arund 20 o´clock-not later than that, when we went).
Tht side of Termini, witch is same side as colosseum and other sites is much more lively-and looks safer.Allthough we didn´t feel afraid there either, but it felt a little..Poor and dirty.

Make sure to visit Trastevere, a small neighborhood over the river. Rome has so many tourists, and this is the place to go to get away from it all. Skinny cobblestone streets and laundry hanging above, it is a residential part of the city and a must-see. Come here to get a feel for the local atmosphere.
Testaccio is one of the best places for music and dancing. There is literally a street that is full of just clubs with all kinds of different types of music, dancing, and other interests. Taxi is the best way to get there and all taxi drivers know Testaccio!
Comfortable, casual environment. Great quality food and resonably priced. Eat 7 courses or just one. Located a few blocks from St. Peter's. Quiet neighborhood. Anything you order will be good. Only the freshest ingredients are used. Try the ravioli as your first dish (or any pasta) Can't get that quality taste in the states!!
This place is very crowded with tourists but very impressing. I thought it would be a much smaller fountain, but it's very big. Buy an ice-cream at Il Gelato di San Crispino (the best ice-creams of the world, see my other tips) and sit down and watch the Trevi fountain and the people. Don't forget to throw a coin with your right hand over your left shoulder with your back to the fountain, when you want to return to Rome. In the late-evening it's also very beautiful because the fountain is then lighted.
