Amazing Value in Central Location
We stayed in this hotel for one night during late July. It was about a 10 - 15 minute walk from train station and main Rome tourist destinations (Trevi fountain, Ruins, Colosseum, etc.) This street has lots of shopping, a grocery store (DESPAR) across the street and two McDonald's within a 5 minute walk if you are looking for cheap eats.
Building has a tiny, old elevator so be aware if you aren't travelling light! Even so, a man from the hotel came downstairs and helped with our luggage (all 8 pieces) so it really wasn't an issue. Our room was very spacious, plenty big for our family of four. Being July, it was of course very HOT outside, but our room was like an ice box!
Breakfast was typical European style (Cappucino, pastries, cereal, hard boiled eggs, etc) and located on a cute outdoor patio.
Not bad for 100 Euro a night for 4 people! We would recommend to anyone looking for a good value hotel and we would certainly stay here again.

Location! Location! Location!
The location of St. Moritz is the main draw. It was a 15 min walk from Termini and 15 min from Ancient Rome. There is lots of shopping on the street as well as a pharmacy and cheap eating places. The rooms (I had a single) were about what you'd expect - miniscule. The shower DEFINITELY could have used a good scrubbing. Breakfast was the normal packaged toast and hardboiled eggs (what's up with that in all the hotels by the way) but the serving staff was very friendly and helpful. For the same price and location I would stay here again.
Unique Quality: Nope. No unique qualities. All the hotels stretch the truth on their websites about their "terrace views" and "spacious" rooms. This one was no different. This was the "garden view" room I was in. Hey there are some flowers down there - somewhere.

cheap central hotel
Stayed in the St Moritz in 2003. Small but great little hotel right in the centre walking distance from the coloseum and the other major attractions. Stayed in the family room with two ordinary beds and a large sofabed. Very comfortable Nice courtyard for breakfast. Cheaper than the larger hotels and great value for money for being in the centre.
