Alone, Lisa takes a train to Naples and then Pompeii.

Lisa expores the city of Rome on foot including Piazza della Repubblica, Via Nationale, Piazza Venezia, Isola Tiberina, Trestevere, Gianicolo, Garibaldi monument, St. Peter's Square, Piazza Navona, and Campo de' Fiori.

7:45am Depart for Venice vaporetto parking lot.
8:45am Arrive Tronchetto (bus parking lot, Venice)
9:00am Depart on vaporetto to the Madonna dell’Orto Church on the Island of Venice.
9:30 am Store instruments at “Sacresty” near Madonna dell’Orto at Cannaregio Sestiere.
9:45am Take vaporetto to Orto San Marco.
11:00a-1:00p Venice Tour Enjoy a guided walking tour of Venice. Start at Belltower. Tour includes The Doge’s Palace, The Piazza San Marco, The Basilica San Marco (interior), The Bridge of Sighs and The Rialto.
1:00-2:00pm Time for lunch on your own and shopping will be available after your tour.
5:00pm Group gondola ride along the canals, 45 min.
Enjoy dinner at a restaurant in Venice before your performance.

7:30pm Rehearsal After dinner, transfer to performance venue and prepare for evening concert.
Concert, 9:00 pm Perform an official concert (1 hour) this evening at the Madonna dell’Orto, a beautiful church in Venice. The Madonna dell’Orto is a gothic cathedral from the 14th century located in northern Venice in the Cannareggio sestiere (district). Located a few steps from the church is the perfect vantage point for viewing the Venice sunset. Afterwards, load instruments onto vaporetto.
10:30pm Depart for Abano.
12:00 Midnight Arrive at hotel.

6:30am Wake-up call.
8:00am After breakfast, check out of hotel, load luggage and instruments onto motorcoach.
8:15am Depart hotel and travel west to Tuscany an Pizzighettone.
11:15am Arrive in Pizzighetone and hold a brief rehearsal. Change into uniforms, etc.
Concert 12:00pm Concert performance (1 hour) at Church St. Patrizzio. This is a beautiful church boasting a traditional Italian atmosphere and excellent acoustics. After your performance, enjoy a brief social exchange and some light lunch refreshments. (The mayor of the city has been invited and if he attends, he will hold a brief welcome ceremony of some sort.)
2:00pm Visit ancient Roman Wall in Pizzighettone. Guide or local resident will provide some narration.
3:00pm Depart for Cremona. If group needs more lunch, stop en route or in Cremona.
3:30pm Cremona Arrive in Cremona. Home of Stradivarius, the group will tour the museum Stradivarino in Cremona and see models, drawings and violins made by the genius craftsman.
5:15pm Dinner Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant this evening after your performance.
6:15pm Continue to Florence.
9:45pm Arrive in Florence this evening. Upon arrival, check into your youth hostel.

8:00am Wake-up call.
9:30am Free time in Florence
10:30am Uffizi Museum entrance
1:15pm Florence Tour This afternoon , enjoy a walking city tour of Florence. See the Cathedral, Giotto’s Belltower, and the Baptistry’s “Gate’s of Paradise” by Ghiberti. A tour of the Accademia museum, including Michelangelo’s statue of David, is included.
4:00pm Free time
Evening Concert This evening, attend a 9:00pm performance by the Orchestra Della Toscane (The Tuscany Orchestra) in Florence city center. Location is the Basilica di san Lorenzo, just a few minutes walk from the Duomo.

"Saturday, June 16, 2001 - Florence – Pisa – Lucca"
After breakfast, there will be some free time in Florence
12:00pm Load instruments and luggage onto coach.
12:15pm Depart Florence for Pisa.
12:45pm Arrive later this morning in Pisa. See the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Pisa Cathedral and the Baptistry, followed by lunch on your own.
3:00pm After lunch, depart Pisa for the ancient city of Lucca.
3:30pm Take time to walk the cobblestone streets and shop in Lucca’s quaint stores before your evening performance.
6:30pm Dinner this evening will be at a local restaurant in Lucca.
8:15pm Change into performance attire and rehearse.
Concert, 9:00pm Perform a concert this evening in the beautiful sanctuary of the Passionist Convent of Saint Gemma, located in the center of Lucca (Via di Tiglio, 271).
10:30pm Depart After your concert(1 hour drive).

"Sunday, June 17, 2001- Florence – Umbria – Rome"
8:00am Wake-up call
9:30am Load bags and instruments onto motorcoach.
10:00am Depart for Rome.
Travel to Rome today, stopping en route for lunch on your own (approximately 1:00pm). Arrive in Rome later this afternoon and check-in to your hotel.
Leisure Time Enjoy leisure time in Rome this afternoon.
6:00pm Enjoy dinner at your Rome hotel. After dinner, prepare for your evening concert.
7:15pm Depart for Arricia.
Concert, 9:00pm Perform a concert this evening in the “belissima” church Parocchia di Santa Maria del Cielo (or the S. Maria Assunta in Cielo). Designed by the famous baroque architect Bernini, this church is nestled in the hills just outside of Rome in the old village of Arriccia.
After your concert, transfer back to your hotel.
