A visit to Villa Borghese inevitably needs to start with a stroll down Via Veneto. I am in love with that street... Lovely, lovely street (a metro to the station Barberini and off you go).Just before visiting Villa Borghese, we were visiting the 'rich' neighbourhood (where most of the embassies are located), located around Vialle delle Belle Arti, and it may sound funny but it is a treat for the eyes to see the architecture there.
From there, work your way downwards toward the amazing gardens.
