    The best kept secret.

I stayed at this hotel for three days while visiting Rome for the first time late June 2007. I believe it's a fairly new hotel as it was quite difficult to find online. I had a fantastic stay. There are only 13 rooms in this quaint hotel which is about a 5 minute walk from the train station. The decor was really cool. I love interesting decor and this was definitely up my alley. There are marble floors and bathrooms and the whole hotel is done in this color scheme of silver, and warm yellow and gray. It sounds wierd, but it was so cool and relaxing after being in the constant heat wave that washed over Rome when I was there. The light fixtures are very modern, and I got tons of decorating ideas for my own home. I like that it felt like a spa everywhere adn a main bonus was the air conditioning! The breakfast was included in our price and we ate on the top floor balcony. Very nice way to start the day. There were usually only a few on staff, but they went out of our way to make sure we had everything we needed, from reservations, to extra toilet paper, to extra coffee and steamed milk at breakfast.

Unique Quality: The attentive service of the staff. They went out of their way to ensure we were completely comfortable. Air conditioning, which can be quite rare in old buildings. Proximity to major sights. This hotel is a 5-7 minute walk to the Roman Forum and the train station, and the fashionable area around the spanish steps.
    Wall mounted flat screen tv's.
The only negative is probably that there is a flight of stairs from the entrance up to the front desk which might be a problem for the elderly, or disabled. There is an elevator from the second floor which serves the remainder of the hotel. Anyone who is halfway active shouldn't have a problem with the stairs.

Directions: Heading out of the main entrance (stazione centrale Roma termini) walk toward the Piazza Della Repubblica to Via Nazionale. The hotel is located on the left side of the street about 4-5 blocks down.
