Bone Church
I played a bit with the photograph :-) Photoshop is fun!:) It is rather spooky to be inside the Bone Church. I have to look for the address but it's at Piazza della Republica. It's rather close to Via Veneto and the US embassy. i think...:-)
Las Catacumbas
by pili
They´re amazing underground galleries created by the ancient romans to bury their dead, but the catacombs became in a place to go on a pilgrimage.-

by AlexDJ about Freni & Frizioni bar
A bar housed in a former garage - hence the name (Breaks and Clutches). Just accross the bridge into Trastevere this small bar spills out into a little square, with candles burning and throngs of good looing people perched on the wall surrounding the square. The bar had a real buzz, which is what first draws the attention from the bottom of the steps, I found it to be a really friendly little bar with a good mix of patrons, the staff were friendly too and only too happy to help.
Cocktails are a speciality and the Mojitos were amazing especially on a hot summers evening - the whole cocktail list looked fantastic and there seemed a good wine list too, although regretably I didn't sample any. There was also a very tempting buffet on offer which looked much better than the 2nd rate tourist crap I'd just eaten.
The decor of the place was a juxtopisition between the futuristic and reclaimed which created a unique ambience.
A Superb Birthday dinner
by CDNgirl about La Vecchia Conca Restorante-Pizzeria
We stumbled upon this place in the Santa Maria Maggiore area one Sunday evening, when many restaurants are closed. Its just a door leading downstairs to the Restaurant area, but the menu on the wall outside looked good, and they were waving us in, so we took a chance. The food was fantastic, and the waiter even better!! He was soooo helpful in suggesting and describing food, and going above and beyond helpfullness. It was a birthday dinner not to be forgotten! I loved the bruschetta!! I was on a tomato kick and it was fantastic, I had two! It came on a thick slice of italian loaf, fresh cherry tomatoes, with olive oil and a generous amount of pepper. So good!! Every thing else was great too, the pasta, the salad, the grilled veggies, and the profiterole for dessert!!
stairs to top of the dome of st Peters

If you are at all clostrophobic I suggest you think carfully about attempting to reach the top of the dome, it may be a fantastic view but the staircase is very tight. I had to retrace my steps back down because of panic. I dont mean to put anyone off but I wish I had had the same warning.
