Two places must not be missed...

Two places must not be missed when in Rome. One is the ancient ruin of Rome and the other is the Vantican City. Of course, everyone would know that the latter is a nation city by itself, but the fact that it is in the middle of Rome, one often associate it with Rome.
Must bring!

Rolling luggage - and not too big.. you'll be dragging it up steps and through narrow hallways. Walking shoes and a rain-proof jacket tylenol - and allergy pills if you're sensitive to pollution Lots of film!
Do not go to outlets, shopping malls while in Rome
by sikorka about Women's Clothing
When you are in Rome there is no point to go to shopping malls. First, because the stores which are in shopping malls are also in the center of Rome. You will find the same boutiques in Via Cola di Rienzo, Via del Corso and Via Nazionale. On Via Cola di Rienzo and also close to Metro station S. Giovanni there is a big fashion store COIN. Another similar La Rinascente is on Via del Corso, so you can do your shopping while sightseeing.
In the center there are also lots of small boutiques, which offer unique clothing at a good rate. Look for them on Via del Governo Vecchio, Via dei Serpenti and many more in the heart of Rome.
Additionally, the prices in shopping malls are often more expensive than in small boutiques. And what's important you will lose lots of time to park your car, I heard up to 1,5h to park your car in Parco Leonardo shopping center during weekends.
Personally I was once, 3 years ago, in fashion outlet Valmontone (about 70 km out of Rome, direction Cassino). I will never go there again, first I got sick of all these stores and secondly the prices were really high.
My advice: the best shopping is in the center of Rome!!!
Very expensive!

Good simple food and nice atmosphere but what a shock when the bill comes. We paid 60 Euro per person for a simple plate of fish with baked potatoes and mushrooms. They show you the fresh fish in advance but never tell you that it is a golden fish. This is really a rip-off and we felt cheated. With antipasti and house wine we paid 100 Euro per person. For that price I eat in a Michelin-star restaurant in Belgium. Really not worth it!
Decent enough 'pad' !

Centrally located and mixed reviews from VTers. It is true that you will not be fussed and feigned over here although staff did enough (if no more). Seating outside and in, fair wine list
