by adiegreen

Hi Has anyone used the terrvision tour as opposed to the green bus ones. The price seems ok till you start to book then the price shoots from E20 to E25.It looks a better service compared the green bus but>>>>>>>>>>??

Also can you buy these tickets in Rome or do i have to buy online

Thanks
Adrian

Re: terravision tours

by leics

I saw the 'Christian Rome' tour buses when I was there a couple of weeks ago; wondered where they'd come from, as they certainly weren't there when I last visited.

As you can buy a 3-day ticket which covers all transport (bus/tram/Metro/suburban train) for 11 euros I personally wouldn't bother with this. But if you are worried about finding your way by yourself, then a hop-on, hop-off bus might be worthwhile.

Central Rome is very walkable: it would take you less than 10 minutes to walk between many of the stops listed.

Travel Tips for Rome

Paradise for every archaeologist

by chicabonita

The Forum Romanum is a must for every one interested in old stones and history. If you are one of them I guess you have to plan several hours to discovery everything.

For me a promade around the forum was enought.

Bernini's statues - Piazza Navona

by extrajoce

The fountain at the heart of Piazza Navona was created by Bernini, the most famous sculptor of his time. It is called Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi (of the 4 rivers - Nile, Ganges, Danube, Rio Plata) and faces his major rival's church (the Chiesa di Sant'Agnese in Agone by Borromini), so some say the statues are looking in horror at it, although the church was only built later in fact. All the same, the visual effect is quite amusing.

Little bus #119 goes to Piazza Popolo

by ttsui

We got the Roma Pass, which allowed us to ride all the buses and subways for free. From Piazza Argentina, we can get to Piazza Popolo on the little bus 119. It's not at the big bus stop, but one diagonally across the street from it. If you walk it, it'll take 20 minutes.
