on the water's edge...
Set on the water's edge, with a panoramic view of Camogli. Lushly landscaped - salt water pool - private beach. 5 minute walk into Camogli - great location. Room was a bit small but had a terrace looking towards Portofino.

CT Experts: Hotel Location help needed
Looking for input from CT experts. Family of 3 (14 yr old daughter) planning a visit to CT for 2 nights the last week of March. Weather is iffy, I know, but we have to see it and get our fill of seafood! Because of budget I am looking at these hotels in various locations in/near CT. My research tells me Camogli is not touristy (good), close to CT trails, and cute harbor village. Other CT locations seem to have their own individual charm as well. Recommendations/feedback needed!
1) Camogli - Hotel Augusta triple room: 78 euro
2) Camogli - Hotel Casmona triple: 140 euro
3)Camogli - Ca'Andrean triple: 100 euro
4) Riomaggiore - Affittacamere Edi rooms triple: 100 Euro
5) Camogli - La Camogliese triple: 110 euro
6) Vernazza - "VernazzaRooms" triple: 100 euro
7) MONTEROSSO AL MARE- ACQUAMARINA triple: 120 euro
8) Levanto?

Hi! Camogli is gorgeous, but not very convenient if you want to spend only a couple of days in the Cinque Terre.
I would recommend to look for a B&B or a room/mini-apartment in one of the five villages. Perhaps Vernazza, Corniglia or Manarola.

Camogli is a lovely town, but as the previous person suggested is not a good location to focus your attention on the CT.
In March, you are better off in the 5 CT villages themselves or in Levanto which all participate with selling the CT passes in their train stations. The hotels will be cheaper then and less crowded.
If you don't want touristy, then pick Levanto. It's lovely with alot of nice restaurants and the train station is a close walk from all of the accomodations.
The train ride to the lst CT village Monterosso from Levanto is 5 min.
If you go from Camogli, you will need to purchase a regular train ticket to the CT then another for inter CT travel.

Also, Villa Margherita in Levanto has a family apartment for rent which would be ideal for 3 people and within your price range.
