Camogli in general is very nice and by boat you can reach San Fruttuoso, which is a beautiful place. Also you can walk and breathe the romantic athmosphere of this little town. the "lungomare" and the typical houses

Trains to Camogli generally start at Principe (GE P.P. on Trenitalia) and call subsequently at Brignole (GE BRIG on Trenitalia) although a few start at BRIG, so you would get more trains from BRIG.

camogli is a dream!
eat "focaccia al formaggio" take away at REVELLO at the end of the promende before the arcade... wonderful!
and eat PINGUINO ice cream..gnummy!

on the little street which connects the Cenobbio dei Dogi hotel with the promenade is a tiny little hole in the wall where a woman makes on order among the best crepes we have ever had. Camogli - great village.
Travel Tips for Camogli
No balcony? Paint one!
The faces of the buildings have windows, balconies, even sleeping cats, painted on them. At first you may think it REALLY is a balcony. but then you realise that there is no window at all - its fake!
And another gift from Camogli
Lying on the beach very close to the blue clothes peg - which is in perfect working order - was a cunning little work of art. The face of a wry and whimsical man etched by nature on a small pebble.
Matthew is insisting I declare it when we return to Australia - because we are an island continent it is important to try it keep it as disease free as possible - any natural products have to be declared.
So I shall line up at the quarantine line. They will say - "What have you got?"
I will pull out the pebble.
They will say - "What is it?"
I will answer - "A gift from Camogli."
I do hope they don't confiscate it.
Great bars and restaurants
Watch out for the many lovely bars and restaurants, all decorated in a lovely way, mostly with all sorts of ship-equipments
It was the right place for my " sailor's heart " - taking me back to the time, when I was working on cruiseships

Camogli - stairs up and down and up and down...
Lots of stairs have to be walked up and down in order to see the best places.
Your tourguide will know, where to go...
...and these stairs at the rather end of the promenade will take you to a place with a great panorama-view over the bay, and - very important - some benches to have a rest and enjoy the view
