We just returned from a trip to Italy. We stayed in Genoa, Santa Margherita L and Montorossa. Just want to pass along a few things I wish we’d have been aware of.
Genoa is lovely and well worth a 3-day stop. We stayed at a beautiful B&B at Via Roma 5, and would highly recommend it. The owner is an excellent host; the location and price are also just great. Booking is done through Columbus village online. The price was 80euros for a very spacious room with twin beds and a generous breakfast. Bathroom is shared with one other room but bathroom right next to the room and this was never a problem.
Unique Quality: Historic and very well located. Great host, wonderful breakfasts.

this was an excellent chance to stay with a real italian family in the most humungous apartment i have ever been in ,it must have been 1500 sq feet.
genoa is a great place although not for the faint hearted as the hills are like 1 in 8 every where you go
