Taxi from Genoa airport to Rapallo

by sandis01

I've tried several websites to find 1- a Taxi company 2- Cost of ride, for 2 people with carry-on luggage from the Genoa Airport via taxi to Rapallo.
I keep getting routed to a shuttle bus website with a per person cost (much higher).
Can anyone help, piacere!!!

These aren't per passenger: http://www.tourshuttle.com/EN/ITALY/transfer_Genoa-Airport_Rapallo.html

Or try one of these: http://liguria.angloinfo.com/af/312/liguria-taxi-shuttle-transfers-and-minibus.html

Did you ever get a response to your question? I'm having the same problem.

Re: Taxi from Genoa airport to Rapallo

is there any reason you don't want to catch the train?

I got a great answer in the TripAdvisor Forum (I forgot to even look here). I was told, & did look under the Genoa airport website & found a fab driver for Eu 50. He picked us up in MBZ & drove direct to hotel. Also does other reasonable excursions. Had checked into other taxi svc & way!! more $$$.
Name was 1st listed on Genoa Airport website as Autonolegge Serra Ricco (info@rissotaxiserraricco.it), but the guy that picked us up is Rudy (his partner, that speaks English), his email is: prontotaxi.rs@alice.it.

--- (I'm doing same reply for both questions from today---
After my great experinece - No way would I take train since: with 2 people & bags would have had to pay for taxi to train stn, wait for & pay for 2 seats on train & then pay for taxi to hotel. I'm sure would have taken, maybe double the time & cost at least as much.

Travel Tips for Genoa

Zena

by iskelios

Maybe at night from Porto Antico, you'll have the most beautiful view of Genoa. Moreover from the sea. It's like a drawing with dark blue mountains full of lights...Oh yes, it's something you can' t afford to miss...especially with a "panino" (filled roll) taken from "il buongustaio"(just around the corner) After my six-months-contract on board the Costa Victoria I saw my Zena (it's the name of Genoa in dialect) from the ship. It was around 8 a.m. the air was still freezing cold but the view was breathtaking. Italy after such a long time!!! That was one of the most beautiful moments in Genoa...with my love Emilio by my side....

Palazzo Ducale

by globetrott

This building has a great interior - and many exhibitions take place there - like a "flea-market" when I was there, so I could enter for a little walk and see the building from inside.

on their homepage : http://www.palazzoducale.genova.it
you may see some more pics of the building under "Galleria fotografica"

Palazzo Doria Pamphilij or Palazzo del Principe

by Sarita76

The Prince’s Palace, located near the Principe train station, was the residence of the Doria Pamphilj princes. Partially restored quite recently, the Palace was built in 1528 by Andrea Doria (1466-1560), the great admiral of Emperor Charles V. Frescoes and decorations were done by Perin del Vaga, from the school of Raffaello. Composer Giuseppe Verdi rented an apartment in the Palace where he spent several winters.

Up on the hills

by Carletto76

In Genova you always have to go up and down... but to get the best view you should climb really steep hills... but there's a much comfortable method to do it: taking public elevators and/or cable cars!
There are 3 cable cars and quite a lot of elevators going up the hills. The ticket is the same of the buses and subway.
