Jolly Hotel La Spezia: Rude man at front desk left bad impression

From what I had heard the Jolly Hotel in La Spezia was the only hotel in town for sometime, which I suppose is why the man working behind the desk while we were there felt it was ok to be rude, short and condescending. That aside the hotel is located in a great location by the waterfront, within minutes of restaurants and boats offering rides to Cinque Terre. The train station to 5T is a good cab ride away from the hotel. Our room was fairly small, with a queen sized bed, desk and surprisingly large bathroom. Our window to the world, which had a view of a small park, statue and water front was disappointly small, although we were happy to have it instead of no view at all. There is a municpal parking lot off the street behind the hotel and parking spaces to the left as well. There is no charge for parking on Sundays.
