The gorgeous coastline of Cinque Terra
Nearby touristy area, but very pretty scenery. If you can ignore the hordes of tourists, you'll have a great time. There is a train that takes you to and from each of the 5 towns. Check out my VT page on Manorola, one ot the 5 towns that make up Cinque Terra. Informative website below on the area, including Sarzana and Lerici.

A: "Lerici is very nice itself, but it could be not a good base for "5 terre". You should have to go to LaSPezia first and then 5 Terre."
