Modern Comfort
The Arpaiu was the most wonderful place that I could have imagined to stay in Manarola!! (Or even anywhere in the Cinque Terre!). The sea view was spectacular from my room...I stayed in the Aargan room.
I was greeted by the caretaker of the facility with a smile...a sweet lady who spoke only Italian and French!! But do not be discouraged, a phrasebook and universal gesticulations will come in handy. I recommend this place only to those who enjoy their independence and don't need hand and foot service while on vacation.
Unique Quality: Great views, however no amenities. Facilities are clean and modern. The couple that owns the place are two architects and one can certainally tell from the layout of the rooms. Much thought has been put into the decor of the place and modern architectural details abound!
