Great place

We have stayed 6 nights in Casa Capellini.
It has a great panorama overlooking the whole Manarola.
The rooms are nice, and it has an acceptable price - was 52 Eur/night in June.
Highly recommended

room with a view

We wanted the 1 bedroom apt. with double bed, bathroom, kitchenette and terrace on the top floor for 1 week ( 65 euro per night ). Gianni replied quickly .The first 2 day were booked, but the next 5 days were available. He went on to say there was another room available double bed, bathroom and small balcony with a sea view ( 50 euro per night ).We were pleasantly surprised with the smaller room. Simple but clean with a fantastic view. We ended up getting the apt. a day earlier. Excitedly we rushed up the stairs to the apt.The apt. was a little disappointing compaired to the first room. The apt. is less modern, a little musty (a patch of mould greets you when you first walk in the door.) We quickly discovered the reason for the mould when Debbie went for a shower. I came in from buying some groceries and was greeted by a small waterfall. The shower basin doesn't seem to drain the water as quickly as to water comes out the shower head. the only way it seems that you can have a shower is to turn the water on and off. lather, rinse etc., but first make a damn with the extra towel that you brought for the beach!!! Don't get me wrong we did enjoy our stay . If I were coming to Manarola again but for only a couple of days I definately would choose Casa Capellini's smaller room. By the way you will need to brush up on your Italian , although the emails are answered promptly in english, the Capellini english is limited (far better than my limited Italian)

Unique Quality: Truly a fantastic view.

Great apartment with a huge patio and views

We are budget travelers who like to cook our own meals so we always look for apartments. This apartment is small but roomy enough for two: bedroom, bathroom with shower, kitchen, balcony/patio. We are much happier in an apartment than in a room. And, we have rented smaller places!

This apartment is pretty basic. The kitchen does have a stove, refrigerator, sink, and basic cooking utensils. There are no food items stocked but the store is a block away. The bed was comfortable and the shower has plenty of hot water. The apartment is clean and there are additional linens and blankets.

The owners speak some English ( a lot more than I speak Italian). They also have three other rooms that they rent out.

Unique Quality: The view is this apartment's most outstanding feature. One can also hang one's laundry on the clothesline.

Small price, tiny room

The room was one of the smallest I have ever stayed in. In the photo of my wife on our bed you can see 90% of the room. There was barely room to walk at the sides and end of the bed. It was furnished in spartan fashion but was quite clean and the bed slept well. The bathroom was a few steps down the hall and was of the same size. The bathtub was normally shaped but only about 3 feet long with a place to sit opposite the spigots and shower hose. It actually met our requirements quite well and the price was right - it just didn't have a lot of character or charm. Also, when we checked in we met and paid the owner and never heard from or saw her again.

Unique Quality: This is a home (I think) and rents out 4 rooms. I understand the "alta camera" on the top floor has great views. We did not have that room but ours did have a balcony looking out over the street and up the hill - not spectacular.
