"St. Stafano El Mare"
We stayed in a little village in the Liguria region, St. Stafano El Mare. It is about 12 miles from San Remo Very friendly place.
Having never been to Italy before we decided to use public transport to get to resort from Genova Airport. Word of warning, the station has moved from the village, inland couple of kms, get there after about 8pm and there are no taxis. Busses run late but not knowing this when we arrived was a problem. Some helpful Italian's took us into St. Remo where we got a taxi.
Everyone was so helpful and friendly during our time there that we wanted to go back and try other parts of Italy...so we did.
Small beach,, lovely little village and good couple of local resturants, sorry can't remember the names.
