"The Name"

The real name of this town is Sanremo, but many, like the database on which VT is based calls it San Remo, thinking at a name of a saint: actually this saint doesn't exist.
The original name of the town was San Romolo, with time distorted to Sanremo.

Curiously, Romolo & Remo were the brothers who, according to the legend, founded Rome.

So, for you travellers, also not interested in History, when doing a search try both wording, and come!
