Welcome to San Remo
Climbing the Poggio
Does anyone know how to get from San Remo to Monte Carlo? Do non-EU citizens need a visa to get there? I'm guessing not. Which way is faster? By car or by train? (sometimes train are faster since they don't get stuck in traffic)
I'm not sure which is faster but the train is an awful lot easier. Driving and parking in Monte Carlo are difficult (understatement).
You can take the A10 or the coast road, shouldn't take long. I did it years ago
and don't remember seeing any border stalls, you probably only need your passport.
The train makes sense, it's raining here in the Veneto and most of
Italy today, so there shouldn't be too much beach traffic, but of course
that would make it a good day to go gamble! Good luck.
It may sound very stupid but is there a train station in Monte Carlo & Cannes? (Wanna check out Cannes as well since it's only an hour away)
Have you read your previous replies? The easiest thing to do is ask at your hotel when you arrive-there are trains all the way up the coast of Italy to the coast of France and beyond.
