Ventimiglia-San Remo, Italy
by b1bob
The original plan for 24 July 1989 was to take my time in Monaco and take my time the following day in Ventimiglia, Italy. Had I been able to do that, I could have had Nice sized pages of each. However, you read in tip on Monaco why those plans went awry. I took a hurried trip to Ventimiglia where, on that day, they were having a Unity Festival. I did take the time to take some photos: of the cafe where I discovered the custom of garnishing my Coca-Cola with lemon, the Unity Festival banner, a sailors' monument, and, if you can believe it after what I went through in Monaco, an Italian police car. It wasn't the whole day in Ventimiglia that I planned, but I had fun trying out the little bit of Italian I knew on the locals.

"Officially Sanremo"
The official spelling is Sanremo, a phonetic contraction for
the name San Romolo or Saint Romolo, official saint and
protector of the city.

Does anyone know where I can find a decent online streetmap showing the Hotel Napoleon in San Remo, Italy? I've searched everywhere but I have been thwarted by the internet. Thanks to anyone who can help :)
