Travel Tips for San Remo

San Remo

"Music Festival"

The first San Remo Song Festival was held in 1951, right after the end of World War II. Since then after it was broadcast the participants increased year by year. Nowadays that event is televised all over Europe.

Many great singers from Italy gained world wide recognition, among others also Domenico Modugno, who won the Festival in 1958 with his world-wide famous song "Nel blu dipinto di blu" (also popularly known as "Volare").

Walking along the seaside streets is so relaxing. I enjoyed San Remo very much and so did my lady friend from Japan
