Hotel Continental

Recently spent a week in town for holiday and professional association business. Dined several times, had facilities made available and attended meetings. Several colleagues, having made reservations six to eight months prior, arrived to say that a) rooms were cancelled due to credit card glitch, b) rooms were overbooked and they would need to find accommodations for the last night of their trip or c) the accommodations were the size of a broom closet. One finds situations as these in any travel location. How an establishment handles them is what leaves the impression. Considering that the Metropole, Continental and Imperial Palace are a conglomerate and that in it's entirety our organization booked approx. 75 rooms for a duration of 3-10 nights, it would naturally follow that one could expect a modicum of assistance without snide remarks or sarcasm.
