I was fairly disappointed with our room at Pensione Sorriso. We had a room with a balcony, and it can only be described as "sad". Plain white walls, and only one lonely picture for decoration. An old blue chair (den style) had certainly seen better days. The shower was old, not overly clean looking, and smelled of mildew. And, the ducks across the street quacked all night long.
On a positive note, the buffet breakfast was really good, and the cappucinos were excellent (complete with decorative flower pedals)! The location is also excellent, and a friendly staff. Maybe the other rooms are nicer.

One of the best little places in the Cinque Terre
I loved the Hotel Sorriso! The charming owner of the Hotel gave us a room with a private bath which overlooked the main street.
It is simply a hotel with no pretention, and plenty of relaxation.
Unique Quality: The cuisine offered downstairs in the dining room waa always delicious. Plus, they served the local Vernazza white wine with meals. I remeber hearing music leaking from the kitchen playing, "Goodbye Ruby Tuesday".
