Ca' Rossa
There is a separate independent flat but due to being full we were hosted in one of their own family rooms and it was very comfortable - the bed was huge.
We had fruit and water in our room on arrival
and the buffet breakdfast the next morning was delicious and filling - cereals, breads, yoghurts, jam,cheeses, meats and cake etc...
Rate was 85 euros per night per room.

Friendliest B&B
A delightful short stay in this B&B - they have suddenly sprung up in Bergamo with the advent of Ryanairs cheapflights to this beautiful city.
There are several such places and we though we would be staying in the old town ...but this one was just outside. Not to worry our kind host collected us from the airport, deposited our bags in our room and then drove us the short distance to the old town to meet our friends Caro and Dannie - they said it was a 20 minute walk but I think these italians walk very fast. We were then collected some 2 hours later to our host home.
Unique Quality: Ca' Rossa is an old farm surrounded by trees and the calm of the "Parco dei Colli" in Bergamo. There were wonderful views over to the old town - as in my intro pic :-0 There is a beautiful garden too - this pic.
To reach by car: Leave the A4 motorway at Bergamo exit ; then, on the main road, follow the direction of Valle Brembana as far as the second traffic-lights ; then turn right and drive along via Raboni (about 500m/1/3 mile) ; then turn left into via Bassani.
Bus: take line 9 and get off at the bus-stop in front of the Alba cinema; from there, walk (about 500m 1/3 mile) along via Raboni and then turn left into via Bassani.
