Giardinetto Hotel

If you are ever headed to Lake Garda, Desenzano is a great, beautiful little town to make your temporary home, and Hotel Giardinetto is the place to stay. The rooms are spotless and quaint, with all the necessary amenities. It is conveniently located within walking distance of the train station and a 5 minute walk from town and the gorgeous lake shore. The owners are also wonderful - Sarah is amazing. She speaks great English and helped organize a taxi for us when we missed our train and were stranded in Verona, she watched our luggage for us after we checked out so we could take the morning to explore the town without worry, she gave us tips of where to go and what to see, and provided a hearty breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel. For the price, you cannot beat the location, the amenities, and the hospitality.

Unique Quality: Within walking distance of the train station and lake shore

We noticed this quaint hotel on our way back to the train station. We remarked at the time that if we had luggage in tow, this would have been an ideal jumping off point to catch our train from.

It was neat and tidy, with a very clean lobby area, and an extremely helpful desk clerk.

We would consider this hotel for our next visit, but only if refused by Hotel Alessi first.

Price for a double room with breakfast ranged from 85 euro to 100 euro.

All Desenzano's its stage. The Hotel Giardinetto location puts the city's shopping, shows, museums and intresting cultural events right at your door.

The location is only about 400 meters from the train station, and only eight minutes to the centre and Lake Garda.

We particularly liked the tables outside the entrance area, shaded by high hedges. I can see Ma Kettle and I sitting there in the evening with a glass of vino, watching the world go by. Bliss...
