Perfect Location...
Absolutely perfect...Great location, wonderful helpful staff, spotless in every way, comfortable beds, modern bathrooms, and........ efficient air conditioning.
This hotel is rated as a three star, and has a very comfortable lobby area, with 'very' clean bathrooms readily available. A private sitting area is open for guests to sit and read, visit, or have a quiet drink.
The rooms are pretty basic, and each one has a balcony which faces the lake. No screens on the windows, but with a/c that isn't a concern.
We stayed in room 402, the top floor, corner room (as shown on the upper right hand corner of the hotel on the web site). The balcony was huge, 'L' shaped, which gave a wonderful panoramic view of Lake Garda, the harbour, and the busy piazzas. Sitting outside in the evening, away from the hustle and bustle of tourists, insect free (almost !!), enjoying take-out pizza, fresh tomatoes, olives and figs, a cool glass of white Lugana wine (local wine)...what more could a person ask for?
Our latest visit was July 19, 20/2004.
Unique Quality: The hotel is located right on the main through-fare of Desenzarno, which is closed to vehicles in the evening, allowing pedestrians free rein of the water front.
Immediately in front of the hotel is Lake Garda, with great pedestrian walk ways along the water's edge, with numerous shaded benches to rest your weary feet.
Our rate was 90 euro per nite for a double room, breakfast included. Morning fare consisted of hard boiled eggs, ham, other assorted cold cuts, toast, rolls, yogurt (with fresh cranberry compote), sweet breads, various desserts, cereal, juice, and coffee (be warned, American coffee is instant). Fruit was offered, which included oranges, apples, grapefruit, and kiwi.

Great location
Can't tell you much about this hotel, I made a day trip from Verona to Desenzano only. The hotel "Vittorio" attracted me because of its vivid colours of the facade, beautiful winter terrace which overlooking the harbour and its perfect position on the lakeshore.
Unique Quality: Comparing it with the other hotels, I saw when strolling around, hotel "Vittorio" is the most beautiful in Desenzano. In case of staying here, it would be my choice.
