The place is very easy to find, at the right side of the road when coming from Rovereto.
The rooms are nice, clean and mostly with a balcony with views of the mountains around the lake. If you like to go to sleep early you may ask for an off-roadside room because the road is rather busy until about 22:00 . Other than many other Italian Hotel Garni in this category it offers a really nice breakfast. On the northern side of a small marina I enquired at a hotel but the manager not only had no accommodation but was disinterested as well. He pointed me away from the waterfront, even though I suggested a hotel on the southern side.
Thus it was that I ignored his advice and went there anyway. What a great move! The staff there were fantastic. Could not have been more helpful. The breakfast just kept on coming, my mate Tony even bringing things I hadn't asked for.
After all that I had the setting. Right over the lake. On a clear day it would be stunning, when I was there it was only wonderful, the winter haze of the fires obscuring much of the landscape.

We got back to the hotel a bit later and all doors were closed :(, as were all the cafés and bars in Lazise aswell at that time (except for an obscure piano bar....). So we had to spend the night in our car...haha.
