Grignetta The Crazy Mountain of Lecco
by decimogiulio
The place where the Hell and the Paradise are in a joyful and celestial joining is close Lecco (Italy). This place is the Grignetta mountain. The path rising from Piani dei Resinelli to Rifugio Rosalba has'nt difficulties, not even perils. It only needs a normal little attention
On the web http://digilander.libero.it/fedrosecondo at the link "Rifugio Rosalba" on the home page there is the entire path shown by photo gallery.
And even more!
by Aurorae
Sometimes it can be scarry to be lost among the high mountain peaks threatening from up above liek sharp teeth of a beast, but for mountain lovers it the utmost excitement, and if you are one of those, be sure that you'll have the best of the mounatin experiences!
Climbing up
by Aurorae
More views from the top of the Lecco mountains in Parco Valantino. This is from the Cortiglione top. The lake appears so small and like a little river down under. There are many great sights along the path.
chains
by Aurorae
When you climb Sentiero dei pizzetti path, you are obliged to use the chains, otherwise it's impossible to climb! Be very careful, but don't panic! :) The equipment is safe and checked on regular basis. But if you're afraid of the height, do not look down (although I think that if you are afraid of height you wouldn't be climbing Sentiero dei pizzetti at all, but anyway... Maybe a sudden attack of fright emerges!)
The Church
by Aurorae
On the path you will find small churches sometimes. There is one, quite big and visible from the town, but there is this other one, hidden in the mountains and only locals know about it. People stop there to make a break, relax and maybe pray as well. :)
