Piazza Cordusio
by littlesam1
Piazza Cordusio is one of the many beautiful squares in Milan. I was able to find a small restaurant just off the Piazza one afternoon and took a few moments to rest and have a glass of wine. It was wonderful to sit back and relax and view this beautiful Piazza.
Packing List

If you are planning to visit the Cathedral and the weather is hot - think of taking some light shirt that does not take much room in your bag: you will need one at the entrance of the Cathedral as people are not allowed inside with bare shoulder. Pretty much anything can be purchased in Milan upon arrival. Take your ATM card - there are many cash machines, so your card will not let you down.
Backstreet Boutiques

After a hard nights partying how else is a girl meant to recover? A little shopping therapy goes a long way!
Luckily for our bank balances all the designer shops were closed on a Sunday so we just window shopped at Tiffany's, Yves Saint Laurent, D&G, Vivien Westwood etc etc!
These shops are all tucked away down little avenues away from the main touristy areas, and are well worth a look even if it is just to lust longingly at those €400 Jimmy Choo shoes!!
The shops in the main areas around the Duomo were open but these were shops like H&M and Zara which were more expensive than back in England so we didn't bother visiting them BAGS SHOES BAGS SHOES BAGS SHOES BAGS SHOESBAGS SHOES BAGS SHOES BAGS SHOES BAGS SHOESBAGS SHOES BAGS SHOES BAGS SHOES BAGS SHOESBAGS SHOES BAGS SHOES BAGS SHOES BAGS SHOESBAGS SHOES BAGS SHOES BAGS SHOES BAGS SHOES A lot!!
A beer in an old bus-station!
by Henrik_rrb about ATM
I seem to jump into a bunch of strange bars now and then in Milan, and ATM is another one...
As the name suggest it's an old bus-station, which has been rebuilt into a bar. It's really cosy, even if the beer is 1-2 euro more expensive than at other bars.
One good thing with this place is that you can take you beer with you outside, more or less standing on the street drinking it. As normally in Milan, dress up a bit. But there are no guards there, so you'll be let inside anyway.
Good transportation
by tomerik
This is a nice way of travelling around Milan. It gives you an idea of the traffic scene as well since you're above the surface contrary to the metro.
The public transportation system in Milan is well developed and rapid. However I found it difficult to find ticket vending machines around. I took the tramway several times without paying since the driver could sell me a ticket or the stations had any vending machines. Luckily I didn't run into any trouble. Tickets are to be bought at Tabacchi's around the city.
