    great place!

    by

I found out about this hotel at the VT pages; it's really a great place and much cheaper than other 4 star hotels. It's 10 minutes walking from the central trainstation and within walking distance from the downtown.

I loved that place! Next time i go to MIlano i'll stay here definitely! The hotel has everything a 4 star hotel provides for the price of 2 star!

I did not find anything wrong with this place!

Unique Quality: i did the reservation on line at http://en.venere.com/hotels_milan/stazione_centrale/hotel_baviera_mokinba_hotels.html?ref=1217

Venere.com is a very good site to find a hotel-it has maps, extensive desription of hotesl and facilities and reviews. I found it very helpfull.

Directions: 10 min to MIlano Centrale trainstation

    Best Located Hotel at Milan

    by

Its location is best at Milan. It is less than 100m to the nearest subway station. It is 15 minutes by walking to the main rail station. At that rail station, you may go to the airport by bus (much cheaper than taxi). It is also near a very well known long shopping street : Corso Buenos Aires Street, and you may found dress or appliances.

The bathroom area is average. It is new, nice bathroom

    There is Air Condition.

The breakfast is average. I mean you find fresh juice, milk with cereals, hot bread, jam, cheese, eggs, and some cakes. So, it is not bad and not so variety of dishes.

The cable TV channels are mostly Italian. CNN is included.

There is a PC at the reception hall, where it is open 24 hours a day. Each 30 minutes cost 6 Euro.

Unique Quality: The reception staff have a great hospitality, and very helpful.

The location is near : subway, train station & shopping street.

Directions: From main central station : go through the main street until you find the "Piazza Republica", which is a small garden, this will take about 12 minutes by walking. Then, turn left and walk for 1 minute and you will find the hotel at your left side.

One night in Milan

by cburton50

We are staying just one night in Milan, we need to be at the airport Linate at
1:00 pm. Would like a medium priced hotel near the train station being we don't have much time. All the hotels I have seen online are quite pricy. Would like to stay under $200.00 for three of us. Would like something unique. We
will be there September 6th 2006. Thanks

There are a lot of Hotels near the Main Station (Centrale). I stayed at "Hotel Baviera". You need to walk around 15 minutes See my review at http://members.virtualtourist.com/m/6125b/24317/3

You send them an e-mail at info@hotelbaviera.com

It is very important to avoid staying during FARES where a lot of businessmen fill the hotels. So, you may ask the hotel what is the right day that don't fall in the FARE EXHIBITION periods.

Another guide is this website http://www.bookings.it/searchresults.html?city=-121726

Then, choose the dates (left top of the webpage) and also choose "Show hotels near... Central Train Station" (right top of the webpage). Then, you can see all the hotels near the Central Train Station. For price, you may find less price if you contact the hotel directly!

For a good selection of hotels and to see their exact location check the website venere.com. Click on the central train station icon.
I have stayed at the Madison and the Auriga. The Auriga is across the piazza from the station and about 120 euros. The Madison is 5 minute walk and around $100 dollars. Both are good 4 star hotels. I have, also, stayed at the LeMeridien Gallia(5 star). It's $251 dollars, but was able to get it on priceline for $100 dollars.
The location of all 3 hotels are literally in the lobby of the train station.
Cheers!
